Our 2013 Kennedi's Kisses Poker Tournament was a smashing success! Our friends at Modern Woodmen Park once again hosted our 250 players, 50 volunteers and 100s of friends and family. After a great evening of poker, George Carizey took home the big prize. He and a guest will enjoy a trip to Vegas for two, including airfare, 3 nights of accommodations and $1000 to buy in to a poker tourney.
Our 50/50 raffle was won by Sandy Wilkerson who generously donated back the her share of the pot. Our expanded silent auction was a big hit this year as well as our new merchandise.
We were happy that several of our Angel families were able to spend the evening with us either visiting, playing poker or volunteering.
All of this is made possible by our generous poker tournament sponsors: Trailways, Quad Cities RiverBandits, Quad-City Times, United Way Women's Leadership Council, JMS Transportation, Precision Construction, Ehrecke Construction, Dale's Service Center, US Bank, Petersen Plumbing & Heating, Hayman's Westside Ace Hardware, GCP Farms, S & J Sanitation, Carpetland USA, Truck Country, Grandma & Grandpa Sherwood and Grandma & Grandpa Rogers.
We'd also like to recognize our tournament committee: Delia Dreifurst, Keely Byars, Stacy Motley, Staci Molony, Letty Beserra and Penny Knock. You made our night a huge success.
